Awesome but only if you like lawyers!

I was told to call this place and I felt like the front desk lady was being very rude. I briefly told her my situation and she told me to call the lawyer referral, which that's the original number I called. With her not being able to do her job, I asked her, "what services do you provide?" She answered, "we refer to lawyers and phone number, but we don't have lawyers here." Listen Linda I just need a lawyers number for family law. So yet you give lawyers names and info but don't, what is it that this place even does? So rude.

I went to the Alaska Bar Association office last week, as a witness in a hearing. It was odd to be sitting in the same waiting area with the opposition. Plus, there are only 2 arm chairs in the waiting area and 4 of us were waiting. Wish this was thought through a little better. But overall a good experience, so far.

I am forever impressed by the Alaska Bar Association. I am a former member of the AK Bar but due to health issues I respectfully withdrew my membership. The Alaska Bar represents the epitome of thoughtful, thorough, and steady administration and management of attorney and client related issues. Having health issues I withdrew but during that process I became forever thankful for their kindness and helpfulness. And understanding of managing life with dignity despite one's medical condition. Thank you for your respect for not only bar members but also those we go opt to exit the practice of law for medical issues and those who could no longer practice law.
