  I could not have been happier that Joe Higgins was assigned to my case. I was in a situation that I never imagined myself to be in. I had blown over the legal limit but felt an injustice had been done to me given the circumstances. Joe immediately made me feel at ease with the situation, was able to explain all aspects of the court proceedings with me and help guide me through some tough decisions. With all this being said, the trial was a nerve-wracking experience. But once I started seeing how Joe presented himself in the courtroom, cross examining witnesses and having a better understanding of the law than the officers providing testimony, the courtroom experience was far more tolerable. Obviously, I got nervous in the moments before the final verdict, which was NOT GUILTY, but deep down I felt he made his case and we would come out on top.
