Charles R. Wooten

Charles R. Wooten is a partner at Roberts Wooten Zimmer, having joined the firm in 2008. He earned his B.A. from Culver-Stockton College in 1998 and his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia Law School in 2001. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar and the United States District Court in 2001, beginning his legal career in private practice in Jefferson City, Missouri, before working in insurance defense in St. Louis.

His legal practice focuses on workers' compensation, personal injury, social security disability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, general civil litigation, and employment law. Mr. Wooten has served as Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Crystal City from 2004-2007 and has been an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis Community College and Jefferson College.

He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Missouri Bar Workers' Compensation Committee, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Wooten is a fellow of the Missouri Bar Foundation and has served as President of the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Hillsboro Rotary Club. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Pony Bird and is Board Chairperson, as well as on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.

His professional recognitions include the Tom Cochran Community Service Award in 2013, selection to the Super Lawyers-Rising Stars list (2011-2015), and the Super Lawyers list (2016-current). He was named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers starting in 2014 and holds an AV® Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
