  I'm trying to protect my children but it's impossible when their GAL won't return the children's doctors phone calls. He has called her repeatedly and has heard nothing back. This is just one instance, there are many more. She's late, makes me feel like I'm the issue when she is the one not returning phone calls, and you can't get ahold of her. She's not prepared for any meetings or court dates we have had. LOOK FOR SOMEONE ELSE

  Mrs. Chesley is the absolute best!! She took over a mess of an adoption case for the adoption of my stepson and turned it around and won it for us. I highly recommend her. If we hadn't found her, there's a big possibility my son would have been put back in a harmful situation.

  If you want the Very Best for your child, no other attorney or GAL is going to give you a straighter answer then Christi. She's not your typical lawyer. If you want fancy and to hear only the good things that cost a lot of money she's not for you. Now if you want a lawyer that's going to tell you the truth good or bad and protect your child at all cost than that's Christi! She saved me and she saved my daughter, wouldn't be where I'm am today without her!

  This review reflects my personal experience and opinion regarding GAL Christy Chestly during my family court proceedings. I believed my concerns regarding my child's emotional wellbeing, safety, and living environment were not adequately investigated or taken seriously. I repeatedly attempted to communicate concerns that I felt warranted further inquiry, yet I left the process feeling unheard and dismissed. In my opinion, the investigation lacked balance and failed to fully consider important information and the child's perspective. I also experienced the process as financially burdensome without seeing what I believed to be meaningful advocacy or protection for my child's best interests. A guardian ad litem holds significant influence in custody and family court matters, and families rely on that role to remain objective, thorough, child-focused, and accountable. In my experience, I did not feel those standards were met in my case. I encourage parents involved in GAL proceedings to carefully document all communications, maintain detailed records, and seek independent legal guidance when concerns arise regarding representation of a child's interests.
