Mrs. Reno does not follow through with submitting proposed orders on behalf of her clients, even when her clients are the prevailing party. She will file documents without clients consent or knowledge. Once she is paid, she cares nothing about collecting monetary judgment for her clients. Do not be fooled by her professional demeanor.

I would not recommend Clair Reno or her firm to represent me nor anyone I know. My aunt retained this firm to help represent her in a divorce case. My aunt had previously had an aneurism that has clearly impacted their ability to make decisions and take care of herself. My aunt saught the help of Mrs. Reno, she ultimately loss her home in a foreclosure (to an associate of Mrs. Reno). They allowed my aunt to continue to stay in the home throughout the process then ultimately hit her with a $4,000.00 bill for remaining in the home. Mrs. Reno decided to settle the debt by having my aunt sign over the title of her car to her. Out of "the kindness of her heart" Mrs. Reno payed for movers to get my aunt out of her home, only after encouraging her not to take her valuables and furniture. My aunt was told to "take only what she needed". To say that this woman is a crook would be an understatement. My aunt later confessed to us that the firm would have her sign blank documents on occasions. My family is currently in the process of filing a complaint with The Board Of Professional Responsibility. Anyone considering using this firm should certainly proceed with caution.

Do your research before you hire Claire Reno. My first bankruptcy filing was incomplete, in fact I was called and instructed to not appear at the initial hearing because the filing was "rushed". A second filing did not include a full listing of my creditors. This error allowed a judgement of nearly 250K to be awarded to a debtor that sued me. My experience with the Reno Law firm is that numerous phone calls were not returned (too many to list), Ms. Reno was late to a deposition, late to court, and unprepared for court even though I sent her prepared notes regarding my case. If I was aware that I could fire her in court, I would have. After my last court hearing which she was late for, I fired Ms. Reno and retained a new attorney. Within 90 days I was able to dispute and renegotiate the judgement and start the process of moving on with my life. As the saying goes, caveat emptor.
