The Pen & Sword is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering legal professionals, advocates, and communities to fight for justice. The organization focuses on a balanced approach that integrates intellectual rigor and strategic legal action, believing in the power of legal education to ignite change. It provides dynamic training programs, workshops, and resources that extend beyond textbooks, equipping attorneys and advocates with practical skills, confidence, and a voice to make a lasting impact.

The Pen & Sword's mission centers on strengthening legal advocacy skills, storytelling, trial preparation, and legal writing. While committed to transforming immigration law practice, its programs also address the intersection of immigration law with other areas such as family law, criminal law, and employment law. This approach aims to provide comprehensive training and insight for legal professionals nationwide.

Co-founded by Michael Sharma-Crawford and Rekha Sharma-Crawford, The Pen & Sword transitioned into its current focused work in 2025, building on the legacy of the Immigration Court Trial Advocacy College, which began in 2017 under The Clinic at Sharma-Crawford Attorneys at Law. The organization is located in Kansas City, Missouri.
