  The road that one must take to become an Italian citizen is a long one filled with many obstacles and detours. I was not sure that I would ever become an Italian citizen. The changes in the citizenship laws and several adverse court decisions gave me ample cause for concern. However, despite all of this, my dream of becoming an Italian citizen recently became a reality.
