  I paid premium legal fees and received what felt like cookie-cutter service. Many of the documents were heavily templated, looked like they were simply a cut-and-paste job with typos and incorrect information. Communications were slow, and delays were often left unexplained. I never felt that this firm was truly fighting to protect my financial interests. In the meantime, the process dragged on while legal bills continued to grow. Once finalized, there was no follow-up or support. If all you need is paperwork pushed through for your divorce, there are less expensive options. I expected more strategic guidance, advocacy, and value. As a Black client, I left this experience feeling unheard, undervalued, and questioning whether I would have been treated differently if I were someone else.
