I reached out to Rick Hogan to help in a spousal visa process. I paid a fee and ended up submitting all the paperwork and paying the fees directly to the Federal Government. However, when I asked for the deposit monies back, there is no response. I will be taking this up with the disciplinary board.

Posting on behalf of my sister, Cynthia Mendez. This law firm has been unbelievably careless and negligent with her immigration case. The complete lack of communication has been beyond frustrating and absolutely unacceptable. They failed to inform my sister that her case had been DENIED, forcing her to find out without any guidance or support. Even worse, to this day, she still has not been given the reason for the denial. This entire experience has caused her immense stress, anxiety, and emotional distress. No one dealing with something as serious as an immigration matter should be treated this way. Stay far away.

I would give negative stars if that were ever possible. This law firm is the worst, along with the attorneys and parallels, that ive EVER hired. That extends even beyond legal representation into all fields of services and goods. Other reviews share my horrible experience of a COMPLETE LACK of communication. No updates, no work done at all. You pay them for them to literally not do ANYTHING that they were paid for. Bring it up to them? You'll be the one berated and accused by the named partner on the business cards. They are either full of nothing but excuses for their lack of work or any notices that needed to be known by you, the client, and or they will drop you at a moments notice. Unsurprisingly at that point, they wont even give you everything in your case files. Due to what reason(s)? They'll never inform you why. It easily could be because of their incredibly poor lack of record keeping and organization. It could be because they havent cataloged your paperwork like they as a law firm should have and so, the documents were never made as copies of visas you paid them for. Its incredibly difficult to communicate with any one of their employees all the way up the ladder. Their paralegals seem to struggle with even their own native language (almost always spanish) and thats with a great and deep understanding of spanish you may have yourself. They're so defensive and standoffish whenever you bring up any of the aforementioned to them. They make you feel punished and put under hostile judgement and scrutiny as if its somehow all your fault for whatever reason they come up with. Not all Individuals may experience that last one but it does happen. Their excuses and attempts to seem as though their wait times to recieve any updates or communication returned TO you is natural and part of the legal process when google immediately counters that and tells you that waiting most of a year is well beyond reasonable and is instead indicative of a bad law firm or assign
