Attorney Peter Smith is one of the rare Immigration Attorney's I have come across in my life time that truly cares about their client and treats every case he handles very personal. My case was complicated and when i say complicated, i mean very complicated as it involved court proceedings. Attorney Smith proved himself time and time again to be dependable and professional in all the cases he has handled for me and my Wife. Never did any question go unanswered and always with a timely and friendly response. I understand being a lawyer is not a free service, Peter is more interested in the successful outcome of his cases rather than the retainers. In the course of representing me, Peter always afforded me concern, sympathy and conscientious dedication, and I'm very pleased and grateful and cannot express my gratitude in words. Peter, you have helped my family more than you know and thank you again..

I was one of the very first immigration clients of Mr. Smith back in the mid-1990s. I was a postdoc researcher seeking cures and treatments for arthritis and related autoimmune diseases. We filed for a NIW green card, and it was approved. In submitting my application, Mr. Smith helped me focus on the most relevant evidence we could use. He helped write and edit the support letters, and was always accessible to me to answer questions or provide feedback during the process. In the end, my whole family received green cards and we later became US citizens. I was very impressed by Mr. Smith's abilities and performance. He is highly knowledgeable and skilled at his job. Importantly, and somewhat unusually for a lawyer, he is crystal honest. He will tell you exactly what the strengths and weaknesses of your application are, and what is your chance of success. This is rather different from other immigration lawyers who will give you a promise you want, charge you a lot of money, and then fail to deliver results. Since my case, Mr. Smith has handled NIW applications for numerous other scientists, with steady success. I have full confidence in him as an immigration lawyer. When selecting an immigration lawyer, it is important that be able to collaborate and plan the case together while paying reasonable fees. I was satisfied on all these fronts when working with Mr. Smith.

Peter is the reason my family is still together in the U.S., and for that we owe him a great deal! He's everything you want in an attorney: Prompt, knowledgeable, dedicated, objective, honest and affordable. My immigration case was very complicated, and full of grey areas that required time and willingness of a professional. Peter was able to navigate the system while keeping my husband and I well informed of how he was going to approach our case. Peter was the 4th attorney we hired at a time when I was already in removal proceedings. Had we met him 5 years prior to that, maybe he would've saved us lots of money, time and anguish. I highly recommend his services to everyone in need of an immigration attorney.

My wife and I hired Peter after receiving an RFE (request for further evidence) from the USCIS to approve my wife's 10 year green card. It was very stressful to get that notice as this was a long journey we started out on 3+ years ago when we first applied, and to hit a snag at the final stretch was devastating. We were very worried, as we had sent all the info they requested initially. Peter was very confident he could get our case approved. I liked his attitude and he was very clever in digging up extra evidence that we had overlooked. He put together a very organized portfolio that we re-submitted and the case was approved in about 2 weeks. His rates were very fair, and right after speaking with him for the first time, I knew he was a genuine person who was willing to help and he believed in our case. Dealing with the government and Homeland Security is very stressful and meticulous. Having gone through the process, I strongly advise having representation and would highly recommend hiring Peter Smith to help you with your immigration needs.

Peter helped me with EB2 a few years ago. Very professional. We had a plan from the beginning and he regularly followed up on the progress. Reading all one star reviews I wanted to point out that Peter is a very honest and straightforward person. There is no sugarcoating and I appreciate that. My case went smoothly without any additional request for evidence. I would recommend Peter to everyone who cares about his/her immigration case outcome.

Peter helped file NIW during my period as a postdoc at Hopkins. He was very responsive to my questions and we would meet up regularly to check on the status of the case. He is a professional running an honest business. He was very upfront with what I should expect and never had any hidden fees. After the case has been filed and our contract has officially ended, he would still follow up with me on my case regularly. If you live in Baltimore and are thinking about hiring a lawyer, go speak to him. But remember, when you are choosing a lawyer, the lawyer is choosing you. Don't have unrealistic expectations and listen the advice from a professional.

He is very responsive to emails/calls and sets up appointments around your schedule. He takes care of all the work and makes sure to address any issues and concerns you may have. I would highly recommend Mr. Smith to anyone who wants to have an easy immigration experience.

We hired Peter G. Smith to file for a marriage based green card. We met with him three times to prepare our case and everything went as he said it would. We got our green card one week after our marital interview. He took all the stress out of the process, and this enabled me to focus on school and other responsibilities. I would recommend him as an immigration lawyer.
