After being terminated from my employer abruptly and unexpectedly for false accusations, I was lost and confused. I had never been fired before, nor had I ever been accused of the things they accused me of. They were quick to try to get me to sign a severance agreement that waived all of my rights. I did a quick search for an attorney and came across Mitchell Katine. I sent in a contact us form on his website and he immediately contacted me. The initial phone conversation was genuine and not rushed, and ultimately he asked me to bring all of my documentation into the office so that I would be able to show him what was going on. Though I was dealing with lack of income during the holiday season from being out of work, I knew I needed guidance and needed to spend the money. Best $250 I had ever spent on a consult. When meeting with Mitchell, he took his time to get to know me and the issues that came up. He reviewed the severance agreement they gave me and provided his opinion on how to proceed but ultimately let me make the final decision with the facts of how to approach this situation I was in. After we came up with a game plan of how to handle the severance agreement, Mitchell offered to handle communicating the change requests to the severance agreement with my former employer's HR team. When they did not answer and sent an email to me about contacting their attorney, Mitchell stepped in and took the lead on handling it all for me. He did not stop helping even through the unemployment filing process. Every time I had a question or a thought or just needed some guidance, Mitchell was available by phone or email and was very quick to respond. Mitchell truly cares about his clients and his community and it shows. He not only went above and beyond what I originally paid for to help me out, but he also took the time out of his busy schedule to learn about me. He helped me understand what was happening and helped me plan how to get back on my feet with health insuran

I had an HOA situation and found Mitchell and Neil. They were thorough, HONEST, communicating expectations and realistic possible outcomes throughout my case. I appreciate the time they took to prepare and direct me. I would advise anyone to use them as they are fair and clear. Neil works hard for his clients; this is apparent in every meeting or phone call I have had with them. I wish this firm great success as they are great, hardworking people and deserve it.

I have obtained the attorney services of Mitchell Katine twice and have been very happy with the services he provided. Both times I needed his expertise in dealing with a Home Owners Association. He went above and beyond to resolve the issues promptly and inexpensively as possible.

This is my second time having to hire Mitchell. He helped me win my first case. As always, he gives top notch service and I know he will do what is in my best interest. I cannot say enough great things about him and his entire staff. I keep him on speed dial because HOAs are impossible to deal with sometimes and an excellent lawyer is just what is needed.

I was hoping that by the end of this journey, I'd be writing an amazing review and recommending this law firm to the 100,000 people who follow my journey and the 9,000 clients who seek advice through my business. I found this firm in January 2026 after extensive research and retained them in February. My intent was to hire Mitchell, but my case was assigned to Ricky. My contract was for a $3,000 retainer at $300 per hour, with litigation requiring a $5,000 retainer and a $500 hourly rate. Then, around May, Neil emailed me stating that filing the case could require up to $10,000, which differed from my contract. Within days, the firm hired a title specialist for about $500, but he simply produced documents I had already gathered and provided. I came into this case extremely prepared. I've successfully represented myself in complex litigation before, won against experienced attorneys, and became well-versed in legal research. The biggest issue was communication. For months, I repeatedly reached out asking for updates, but I never knew our case strategy. To my knowledge, Ricky did no work before leaving the firm (held the case for 2 months though) After waiting months just to have basic conversations, I was told Neil would take over my case. I later learned it would be at a higher $500 hourly rate. I didn't dispute because I had already been waiting for months, I just wanted progress. Our initial meeting went well, but after that communication slowed again. I continued reaching out with little or no response, One month I reached out 3 to 4 times without a single response at all and eventually it felt like the case had lost direction. 1 Minute the suggestion was litigation in the next minute the suggestion was compromise.. I never cared, I was open to every suggestion, but there was never any action. My objective never changed: to prove ultra vires acts and breaches of fiduciary duty. Either a carve out settlement of my properties, which was suggested by Neil in the

My wife and I found Mitchell Katine of Katine Nechman McLaurin LLP through ChatGPT while searching for an attorney to help us with an HOA dispute. We were very specific about what we wanted. We didn't just want an attorney who handled HOA matters—we wanted someone experienced in representing homeowners in disputes with HOAs and HOA management companies, while also understanding how things work from the HOA side. We also wanted someone with extensive experience in real estate law. Our search led us to Mitchell Katine, and we are extremely thankful it did. We called Mitchell and were able to speak with him right away. He was professional, friendly and easy to talk to, and we were able to meet with him at his office that same day. My wife and I were dealing with an HOA that was attempting to pass a new amendment involving rental properties, and we were extremely concerned about how it could affect us. Mitchell sat with us, listened carefully to the entire situation, took notes, explained our options and then helped us put together an actual game plan. We didn't leave his office confused about what to do next. We left with a strategy. We paid a consultation fee, and I specifically want to mention this because someone reading this review may be wondering the same thing we were: Is paying for the consultation really worth it? 100% YES. It was some of the best money we have ever spent on professional advice. Mitchell told us exactly what he believed we should do, we followed his strategy, and it worked like a charm. But this is the part that really separated Mitchell from what we expected from an attorney. The consultation ended, but Mitchell didn't stop helping us. Mitchell followed up with us twice to see how everything was progressing. And he didn't just call to ask how things were going—he actually took action. He reached out directly to the attorney representing the HOA and also contacted the HOA management company manager responsible for our development. I ev
