Kilpatrick J Max

Kilpatrick J Max refers to the legal practice of J. Max Kilpatrick, who practiced law for 32 years prior to his appointment as Chancery Judge in July 2005. His legal practice primarily focused on domestic relations and criminal defense, with additional experience in workers' compensation defense work. Mr. Kilpatrick is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. In addition to his legal practice, he held several public service roles. He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing Leake and Neshoba counties, from 1972 to 1980. In 1980, he served for a year as district attorney for the 8th Circuit District, which includes Leake, Neshoba, Newton, and Scott counties. Furthermore, he served as board attorney for the Neshoba County Board of Supervisors for 17 years. His appointment as Chancery Judge for the 6th Chancery District, which encompasses Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Kemper, Neshoba, and Winston counties, concluded his extensive career in private practice and public service.
