  Do not go to Kirkpatrick and associates! They do not care about their clients and have no respect for them as people or their time. The staff on the phone were uncaring and dismissive. Scheduling was a nightmare. I signed up for an appointment online, filled out intial paperwork and blocked off that time in my schedule. Then I was then notified that time was no longer available and so I rescheduled and was not told about any paperwork I needed to fill out nor how long the consult would last. When we showed up at the appointment we were told the information we filled out online would not be in their system and we had to fill out a large stack of indepth paperwork. I showed up to my appointment today to waste 2 hours of my time. I had to fill these incredibly detailed papers in, at times, a loud and stressful waiting room ( many people, some on their phones). After waiting almost two hours I notified the desk person I would need to leave in 45min to pick up my kids, the person grimaced and told me that wasn't going to happen. The person then rescheduled me for an appointment tomorrow. After I was out of the office I decided to call and clarify that I would be able to make it to work after my appointment tomorrow. The woman on the phone was horrible, I asked her to confirm whether the appointment would be under 3 hours. I told her I could not be late to work or miss a shift. She told me she couldn't say how long it would take. I told her I had to get to work and the appointment could not last more than 3 hours. She did not offer to get me another appointment or to make a note to make sure I was seen quickly or give me any estimate on time, but instead she told me if I wanted she could cancel my appointment for me. Her tone and unwillingness to help after I had wasted two hours of my day and already moved my schedule around multiple times for her firm that I was considering hiring is unbelievable.   Zeros stars would be more appropriate for the experience that I had with dealing with Kirkpatrick & Associates on 7/30/2025 but unfortunately I have to give them one star. Quick backstory, my job ended up doing a round of layoffs and I was included within that round. As I was looking for jobs, of course, bills were continuing to roll in and depleting my savings, so I contemplated on filing bankruptcy. I went on a site called Upsolve to determine whether or not I could file on my own. Upsolve recommended that I use a lawyer to file the bankruptcy. They recommended Kirkpatrick & Associates. I agreed to have my information forwarded to them for a consultation but they were definitely not my first choice. Once my information was forwarded to Kirkpatrick & Associates they were pretty persistent with putting me on schedule so I eventually agreed to go and scheduled my consultation with them. I arrived to the office everything was great and the receptionist is absolutely wonderful. It was finally my time to go to the back the receptionist told me that I was going to be meeting with Mr. Kirkpatrick which I thought okay cool I get to meet the guy on the commercial. So I introduced myself, giving him my background, and answering his questions. He went through the paperwork explaining quickly what I would have to do about my house and so I asked him if he could explain that to me. I do not know about you all but I worked too hard to get my house at a young age, anything regarding that is extremely important to me because I wanted to keep it. So he stops, looks at me with an attitude, and says, "That just went right over your head didn't it." After that the whole consultation seemed to be a roasting fest of treating me as if I was dumb and he was so smart. He should be more knowledgeable in this area than me because he is the professional. I would have never came to a lawyer if I knew everything. So I kept my composure the whole time I was not rude are disrespectful to him in
