Virtual consultation was a fail as this attorney informed me of having difficulties on her end with connectivity. The $40 virtual fee consultation is simply a ploy to gather information, gives false expectations with absolutely no intentions of actually providing assistance. Led to believe she was too busy to take the case and stated by the end of the week she would reach out to me. Well........ after several calls to her answering service person and approximately one and have months later, a call was placed by me once again only to be told this attorney had zero attorneys to recommend. Would not recommend.Profiting of consultations, which should be free. Stay away if you are seeking passport assistance. Profiting from the Latino community shame on you Lizbeth Mateo.

She was great when helping me get my advanced parole everything was fast and easy and a lot of communication. However when I went to start my citizenship process it felt very disorganized and little to no communication. I wouldn't receive some documents I needed and would get told that they'd get sent over but wouldn't, she'd be late to phone appointments. Life happened and I had to cancel the process on July I emailed and talked on the phone with Ms.Mateo and spoke about a refund. She told me she'd get back to me in regards of how much but never heard from her again. I've been calling and emailing trying to get my refund but no one returns my calls or writes back. It was only once where her receptionist called me back and said she was going to talk to Ms.Mateo and get back to me but again haven't heard anything back and dont get any response. I get that there's more important cases to work in but at the end of the day its still a business and should have communication with the clients

Lizbeth Mateo is an exceptional attorney who genuinely stands out. She is incredibly honest and doesn't sugarcoat anything, providing straightforward and realistic advice, which sets her apart from these other lawyers who give you false hope. This no-nonsense approach, combined with her deep knowledge of immigration law, makes her a truly great lawyer. She is a fierce advocate for her clients, drawing on her own experiences to fight for justice. If you're looking for an attorney who is not only skilled and effective but also incredibly transparent and dedicated, Lizbeth Mateo is an excellent choice.

Lizbeth has been successful in processing all of the DACA renewals that I've done with her and both of my AP requests. I got approved on all. She is an excellent immigration lawyer. The only feedback that I had for her office was more communication during the processes. However, in my last AP that we did, there was notable improvement in communication.

I had two consultations with Lizbeth Mateo regarding my marriage based green card process. She was actually the first immigration attorney I consulted, and I initially felt confident moving forward. As I continued gathering my documents, I called her office with what I thought was a simple question. Since I was considering hiring her, I believed it was reasonable to ask for clarification about the financial requirements for my case. During a previous consultation, I understood that I could sponsor myself, but after speaking with other immigration attorneys, I learned that my understanding of the process was different from what I had been told. What disappointed me most was the way I was treated during that phone call. Instead of answering my question, she became very upset, raised her voice, and began demanding the name of my tax preparer and questioning whether they were legitimate. I felt like she was making assumptions about the legitimacy of my marriage, which I found disrespectful and unprofessional. Another concern for me was the cost. Her fees were significantly higher than those quoted by other way more experienced immigration attorneys I consulted afterward. Given both the pricing and my experience with the consultation and follow up call, I ultimately decided to hire another attorney. CERTIFIED BUT NOT QUALIFIED.
