Law to the People

Law People USA, LLC, formerly known as Law to the People, LLC, was established in North Carolina in 2010. The firm was founded by Professor Timothy J. Peterkin with the aim of providing practical and relevant information to law students as they transitioned into legal practice. Recognizing a gap between academic theory and the practical skills needed for effective law practice, Professor Peterkin and his colleagues began hosting Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses in 2010.

Due to increasing demand, the firm expanded its course offerings. Since 2012, Law People USA has provided introductory to advanced level CLE courses throughout North Carolina, including live streaming webinars that allow participation from anywhere. These courses cover various areas of law and feature presenters with diverse backgrounds and insights. The firm's website highlights expertise in areas such as criminal law, noting Attorney Halkiotis's specialization as a Board Certified Specialist in State Criminal Law. It also references civil law, mentioning David Sherlin's background in representing individuals who suffered catastrophic injuries.
