Lawyer Referral Services

Lawyer Referral Services is a public service provided by the State Bar of Nevada, designed to assist individuals in finding qualified attorneys across Nevada. The service facilitates immediate referrals, available 24/7 online or by phone, connecting clients with pre-screened attorneys who meet specific qualifications regarding cases handled, years of experience, and malpractice insurance.

While there is no charge to obtain a referral, a half-hour consultation with a referred attorney costs $45. During this consultation, clients can discuss their legal matter without obligation to hire the attorney, nor is the attorney obligated to take the case. If representation is agreed upon, the attorney will charge their regular rates. The Lawyer Referral Service annually connects over 15,000 individuals with panel attorneys.

The State Bar of Nevada, established in 1928, oversees the legal profession in the state, offering various programs including lawyer referral, law-related education, and access to justice initiatives. It operates with two office locations in Las Vegas and Reno.
