I've never used nor been represented by Legal Aid of East TN, but my wife has while we were going through a difficult separation. Even though they were on the side on my wife I can attest they really did have her best interest in mind. Her attorney, John Jolley, was more than fair and understands the importance of family. He was honest with my attorney and represented my wife well, regardless of my disparagement. Our situation is unique to all others, but fairness and honesty are all anyone could ask for.

They don't want to help a resident of Chattanooga with just looking over a legal document. Found them to be polite but UN- empathetic. I'll pray for them 😢 It's okay. God will be my Great Counselor! GOD BLESS LAET! I don't even belong to any special group but God will provide for little people like me. I try to do what I can for the community and needy. UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL BUT SOME DONT UNDERSTAND THAT 🤍

Counselor Weaver was of the best help and understanding. He's what I would consider to be known not only as a gentleman, but a Scholar as well

James Greene was my divorce attorney. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped me through each step with patience and kindness. He truly had a concern for the best interest of my children. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking legal counsel concerning divorce.

Mr. Aaron Daniel with Legal Aid of East Tennessee was a true blessing during one of the most stressful times our family has ever faced. My father is in a wheelchair and was being pushed toward eviction over online portal issues and a small balance. We were terrified at the thought of him losing his home. Mr. Daniel went above and beyond from the very beginning. He showed up to court on my father's behalf so he didn't have to endure the physical hardship of attending, communicated with us every step of the way, and made sure we understood our options. Then, unexpectedly, he took it a step further by helping secure a flex loan to quickly resolve the back rent and smooth things over with the landlord. Because of his compassion, dedication, and swift action, my father kept his apartment and our fear of homelessness was replaced with overwhelming relief. Although his services were free due to my father being on disability, he treated our case with urgency and genuine care. We will never forget what he did for our family. His work truly makes a difference in this community. Highly recommend.

This place is useless. You go in and there is nobody at the desk. The doorbell thing apparently doesn't work because nobody came out. Had to holler "hello" to get someone to come out. They send you on your way to wait for a call just to find out that they only accept very specific types of cases. Worthless

Organization is misleading. They charged $20 to give you the name of 3 attorney offices. I called all three, none accepting clients. One asked if legal aid wasn't able to assist, which I was confused too as I contacted legal aid specifically because I can't afford a lawyer and Legal Aid presents as if they themselves help, not like they're a referral agency that charges $20 to give you phone numbers. It's very disappointing. And now when I call, you get voicemail. The first time I call they were quick to answer and take your money, but subsequent calls are shuffled to voicemail, with your number being in the system. Don't give these people money, they're not "here to help." At least not you, they are here to help themselves to your money. Shameful. Legal action needs to be taken on legal aid at this point because this level of misrepresentation should be illegal.
