Very rude lawyer! Do not care about the clients. The older short white man. I was there with my client I had some questions to ask. He was very rude and belittle to my client and to myself. I think his name is Mr. Velsier. He was screaming at me in a very rude way. I am a professional women that have 2 degrees and I will always advocate for my client. Whoever read this please by all means you can contact me. Thank you

I used their services, on multiple occasions in the past. Divorce, financial disputes and received top notch service and rapidly, in a timely fashion, so I am quite dismayed upon my recent project, with which I needed help. Upon the advice of a trusted public agency, I asked Legal Aid for help, establishing a trust on my home, so that my designated heirs would have no troubles inheriting my property. I started the application process, the end of February of this year, 2024 and after little contact, except for a few return phone calls to me, I received no progress or information regarding my request. One paralegal did call me a few weeks ago, to collect a few vital facts, one would need to create a trust and that was the only encouragement I got. Finally, after roughly five months, a lawyer called me and announced that Legal Aid did not do that, only to give advice! I lost five months against the completion of my project! Someone should have informed me from the start that Legal Aid did not do that, instead of telling me, ' We are so backed up. Please be patient.' Moral of the story is, whatever your project or trouble may be, make sure you ask if they handle what you need done, FIRST!

The lawyer I spoke with never requested to review the documents for my case, didn't seem willing to help my case, and never sent me the promised documentation from our discussion. The information provided in the phone call with Acadiana Legal Service Corp., was helpful enough for me to determine it was better to pay off the business who claimed I owed them money after they breached a government contract by charging additional fees, then it was to continue to go through the lengthy process with this legal assistance service, reapplying each time for an additional phone call. Not mention, after the initial call from the intake rep., I had to call and leave a message for the lawyer to contact me because I waited a long while and no one reached out to me.
