  I have done refis here several times. The staff is friendly and helpful. They used to be on the 1st floor but are now located on the 4th floor in this building. There are dedicated parking spots specifically for Monarch clients. Go in the door facing the parking area and take the elevator. The building is pretty easy to get to, just a little over a block from Dolley Madison Blvd. It pays to check over the papers when you are signing, as I found an error on one page, which was quickly fixed. They practice masking and social distancing, so I felt pretty safe.

  Monarch Title processed a final settlement statement with the signature page from a previous version I signed and notarized. In that final version, it added a line item for expenses without my knowledge or consent and processed it without my approval. That's not an appropriate business practice and, to date, Monarch Title has refused to address this issue. Its slogan is "Integrity, Trust, Commitment," but if you're truly looking for these qualities, find a different firm.

  I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Monarch Title Company, and I must say it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a title company. I wouldn't use them even if they were the last title company on Earth. First of all, I provided Monarch Title Company with clear and concise instructions a weeks prior to the closing date ( 3+ times). They not only acknowledged the receipt of these instructions, but they also assured me that everything was in order. However, to my disbelief, after the closing, they suddenly claimed that the instructions were not sufficient and insisted on speaking to me directly. How convenient! It is utterly frustrating to have your time wasted and to be told that the instructions you provided are suddenly inadequate. I cannot comprehend how a company that claims to provide professional title services can be so careless and irresponsible. It left me extremely worried and concerned that I may never receive my funds and as of today, 3 business days past closing and still no wire! When I attempted to address these issues with Monarch Title Company, they offered nothing but insincere apologies. Sorry for not doing your job? Their lack of accountability and professionalism is truly astounding. Furthermore, their customer service was appalling. Every time I called, I was put on hold for an extended period of time, only to find out that nobody was available. It was a miserable experience, to say the least. In conclusion, my experience with Monarch Title Company was a complete nightmare.
