National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney

The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) is a national organization established in 1992. It is dedicated to serving the needs of consumer bankruptcy attorneys and protecting the rights of consumer debtors in bankruptcy. With over 1,500 members across all 50 states and Puerto Rico, NACBA focuses on advocacy, education, and community building within the consumer bankruptcy field.

NACBA educates its members through national conferences, workshops, and webinars, providing practical resources for practitioners. The organization actively advocates for consumer debtors' rights in legislative efforts, policy discussions, and major developments affecting the Bankruptcy Code. This includes playing a role in significant legislative changes and supporting appellate advocacy through amicus briefs in important bankruptcy appeals. NACBA also serves as a national resource for journalists and media organizations covering bankruptcy and consumer debt, working to increase public understanding of consumer bankruptcy. The association provides consumer assistance information and a directory to help individuals find experienced consumer bankruptcy attorneys.
