About Nevada Disability Advocacy & Law Center

The Nevada Disability Advocacy & Law Center (NDALC) is a private, statewide non-profit organization established in March 1995. It serves as Nevada's federally-mandated protection and advocacy system for individuals with disabilities, working to safeguard their human, legal, and service rights. NDALC provides advocacy services to people with all kinds of disabilities facing discrimination.

The center's mission is to protect and advocate for the human and legal rights, interests, and welfare of Nevadans with disabilities. Services are offered at no cost to eligible individuals and include information and referral, education, training, negotiation, mediation, investigation of abuse/neglect, legal counsel, and technical assistance. NDALC addresses issues such as abuse, neglect, education, employment, community integration, voting, and healthcare.

NDALC operates through four main approaches: information, referral, and training; monitoring facilities where people with disabilities live or receive services; conducting investigations into serious abuse or neglect; and providing legally-based advocacy, including individual and systemic representation in courts and other legal forums. The organization maintains offices in Las Vegas and Reno, providing services statewide.

This was the second place I called with a legitimate ADA issue, and again they could not even advise me? It's as if I am not allowed legal representation

As a Disabled person I was turned away. My guess is because they actually don't help the handicap people. One might think that just because it says that they help the disabled actually means that they only help people who don't have any disabilities. I'd love for one of these folks in charge to have to deal with the medical issues that are 24 hours a day 7 days a week and all year round and have themselves be turned away from any type of help
