New Orleans Bar Association

The New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA), founded in 1924, represents the interests of lawyers and judges in the New Orleans area. The association is dedicated to promoting justice, educating its members, and enhancing the legal profession. NOBA accomplishes its mission through various committees, which help attorneys stay at the forefront of their practice areas by studying developments in the law, exchanging ideas, solving problems, and interacting with experts.

Members of the New Orleans Bar Association benefit from top-flight Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs, designed to keep them informed on issues affecting their practice. The association provides opportunities for members to engage with the judiciary and stay informed about the legal community through its monthly magazine, Briefly Speaking, committee e-newsletters, and weekly ENews. NOBA also conducts widely publicized judicial polls, reflecting the informed perspective of lawyers on judicial candidates. The Young Lawyers Section offers opportunities for leadership and participation in bar and community programs.
