About Philadelphia District Attorney

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office is the largest prosecutor's office in Pennsylvania and the third largest in the nation, staffed by over 600 lawyers, detectives, and support staff. The office aims to be a voice for victims of crime, an advocate for justice, and a defender of the rights of all Philadelphians. Its work is guided by facts, evidence, and the law, with a commitment to making the city safer and more just.

The office is focused on criminal justice reform, seeking to restore balance to the system and end mass incarceration by moving away from overly punitive policies. It employs a data-driven, community-focused approach to identify effective public safety strategies and address the underlying issues of crime. The office's divisions and units handle a broad spectrum of cases, including Homicides & Non-Fatal Shootings, Family Violence & Sexual Assault, Economic & Property Crimes, Immigration Counsel, Elder Justice, Labor Crimes Enforcement, Conviction Integrity, Special Investigations, Gun Violence Task Force, and various Juvenile Justice Programs. Man what a joke of a DA's Office, had them prosecute a case for somebody who was constantly harassing me, this person had a history of comitting crimes against me and many others. This person is unemployed lives with his parents and refuses to work! This person also many times slandered me and was arrested by Bucks County for harassing my attorney as a means to get to me. The judge or whoever was prosecuting this case "dropped" the charges on no grounds. This is terrible, when will you Philadelphia PA and Police learn that letting criminals lose and not taking accountability for your actions is unjust? Why are you Bucks County Counterparts able to handle things but you guys are not? Makes no sense

I have called and left three messages. No one has called me back. I am a survivor of sexual assault from the mid 1990's at the hands of a pyschologist by the name of Jonathan Gould, JFK Boulevard, who was my therapist during this time. I saw him for mental health counseling not sex or to hear about his escapades/fantasies about other women. I paid him for the therapy and because of his power and prestige I froze and complied with his actions. My self esteem got worse not better. Today I suffer from PTSD. He is now in North Carolina, He left Philadelphia and did not renew his license. I filed a police report. I hope maybe now I will get a call back. I should be heard and protected as a victim.

Right now as Latinos are suffering Deprivation of Rights. The Phila District Attorney's Office is refusing to show cowardly law enforcement officers the possible consequences of their actions. That as long as their is a record to follow they could be charged with Deprivation of Rights as long as the statutes of limitations hasn't run out. The document that framed an 11 year old Latino boy wasn't prepared by Phila police department so the charging document was invalid. Lynne Abraham & Seth Williams could had made a difference. I hope Krasner for the sake of a nation does the right thing here. Philadelphia is where it was championed that there is a Constitution & it was signed. We are leaders & not followers.

I had a harassment and stalking case. I had several different attorneys who shared my case. For three court visits in a row the district attorneys will not prepared to proceed to trial until the 5th visit. I showed up at every Court proceedings. They did not prepare me for defense questions. And ultimately I lost the case against an individual who was malicious towards me my staff and my family for an entire school year. I know now to hire a private attorney and to never go this route again. The attorneys that handle my case had to have been new.
