Princeton Immigration

The Davis International Center, established in 1974, provides specialized support and immigration advising for international students and scholars at Princeton University. Initially founded by volunteers, the center became part of the University in 1978 and expanded its programs to foster intercultural understanding. In 2007, it was named the Kathryn W. and Shelby Cullom Davis International Center, honoring a generous endowment.

In 2010, the center underwent a reorganization, consolidating visa services and international center functions into a single entity. Its mission focuses on promoting the success and well-being of international students and scholars through comprehensive services. These include immigration advising, assistance with cultural adjustment, social enrichment programs, and practical guidance for living in the United States.

The center offers resources for common issues faced by F-1 and J-1 students and scholars, H-1B temporary workers, TN NAFTA Treaty Workers, and O-1 Aliens of Extraordinary Ability. It provides general informational tools, tax-filing guidelines, and travel guidance. Advising is available through virtual drop-in hours and scheduled appointments, addressing specific questions related to immigration status and related matters. The Davis International Center is located in the Louis A. Simpson International Building at Princeton University.
