Never followed through with Reagan Law Offices (thank God) for my court ordered Mediation re: continued divorce/custody discussions with my ex-wife and her attorney. Thankfully, they refunded me the $450 down payment I made ($900 total as the opposition also had to pay $450, then, we'd have paid $300/hour after that). Understanding that the current state of affairs with the ex-spouse is nowhere close to a place of entering into even the most miniscule level of collaboration needed for mediation success, I had a few questions for Sean Reagan, the firm's namesake. Most importantly, why would me paying up to $1,000+ for mediation be necessary if things, as currently forecasted, would almost certainly end at an impasse (ie: thus, heading back to court). He immediately took offense to my very simple question. But whatever, I didn't sweat it, they refunded me in full. *Also, as an aside, what is it with lawyers thinking their feelings and payday are the most important aspect of a case...? For my case, isn't it the kids that are the most important? Am I the only person who has ran into this before? I moved on with another well-reviewed Mediation firm here in Lincoln, one that is far more affordable and my early experiences have been quite respectful (although as expected, the ex-spouse never signed on or attended....this being her 3rd time skipping out on this process btw). So back in a courtroom last week, my ex's attorney shared communications/emails between he and Sean Reagan as exhibits for our hearing. Her attorney shared messages and notes proclaiming that Mr. Reagan "fired us" as a couple, due to me (despite me asking out), and claimed that I'd sent him a number of aggressive/harassing emails - which never happened, unless you're an absolute snowflake (again, a classic lawyer being hurt about someone going another direction and their office not getting paid - BOOHOO.). But it wasn't even Mr. Reagan's perspective that upset me. It was instead the fact that he sh
