  I received my greencard through a lawyer working at Ross Silverman. In all fairness, after long documentation preparation and a few rounds of exchange with USCIS to provide more information, once my application was denied by USCIS and it was certainly horrific time, but luckily the lawyer pointed out that the USCIS's denial was wrong and we could make an appeal against the decision. I was skeptical because an appeal had been almost never granted but in the end, we got what we asked for. I am so appreciative for the suggestion to appeal because we could have simply given up at that time.

  This review is for Howard Silverman. Howard is an immigration attorney at Ross Silverman LLP I met with Howard Silverman to discuss a potential immigration case a while back. The first impression I got while sitting with him was that this guy was impossible to talk to; very arrogant and extremely cold. I explained the case to him, and it was quiet complicated. He immediately started jumping to conclusions and using unprofessional terms. I was going to leave right away but decided to stay to listen to what he had to say (after all, I was already there, right?). He provided me with his recommendations and I left. Fast forward a few months later; we decided to hire another lawyer and the case went forward and we achieved our objective. It turns out all info we got from Mr. Silverman was not right. Other than being too expensive, his legal argument was a failure. It is extremely important to find a lawyer you can talk to if you are an immigrant looking for representation. The immigration law is very complicated and you will need a strong advocate that you can talk to like a friend. You do not want someone judging you, or someone complicating issues for you (especially when the issues are simple). Unfortunately, this lawyer is not one of those. Mr. Silverman's legal knowledge overall seemed to be alright. I am very sure he can represent and argue some cases strongly in court. Unfortunately, he is not a warm person to talk to, not a good advocate, has gaps in his legal knowledge and too expensive.
