  Amy Dieterich is the real deal. Amy was the best lawyer I could have hoped for. Her confidence, efficiency, and knowledge of the law made the process smooth.   If you're looking for a lawyer, look no further. Ask for Amy Dieterich. She is the standard for which lawyers should be held. The first time I spoke with her she actively listened to my story in its entirety. I never felt rushed, as if her time was more valuable than mine. She was asking questions and getting details so she could fully understand. She was thorough and made sure we had another appointment on the books before we got off the phone so there would never be a lack of communication. Her conversations are to the point and don't drag on just so she can charge you more money. She actually saved me money through the process. She always gave me an opportunity to ask questions, and when I did ask, she immediately knew the answer and was able to show her expertise through quoting and citing laws, statues etc. She never made me feel badly, uneducated or patronized. This was extremely important to me, dealing with previous lawyers who have made me feel that way. She has a way of making you feel like friends while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor. It was kind of... art. She was honest and straightforward, regardless if it was the answer I wanted to hear or not. She never beat around the bush. She helped me from start to finish and I never had a problem with communication. I'd like to include Amy's assistant, Lisa Lavoie, and even the first woman I spoke with Diann King were the perfect mix of professional, prompt, and polite. There is no other lawyer I would go to. There is no other law firm I would go to. Amy and her team have set the standard, call them and set up an appointment to see what it is.

  I had Sarah Mitchell for my attorney. When it comes to negotiating she is not very good at it. She is a push over and she didn't fight for me. She just kept backing down to my ex's attorney. Waste of time and money. She knew we were dealing with an abusive situation where I had a POA and she acted like we were on friendly terms. In the end there were a lot of loose ends that didn't get taken care of and she was like well you can contact your ex for this information. No I can't! My POA was extended because of finding of abuse and all she said was well we can bring him back to court but I will need another $3000 for retainer. In the year and a half this went on she never saw me in person even though I tried. She would only do zooms or email.

  I've called six times and left six messages in two weeks to a lady named Renee. I have not received one called back. The operator apologizes and says that she's probably busy. Interesting because other law firms do return my phone calls. Even when they are busy.

  I had Sarah Mitchell for my attorney. I asked for evidence of bitcoin and other investments my ex had without my knowledge including our daughters college fund and because my ex said he didn't "want" to share that information she never persued it. Years later I'm finding out he had over $10,000 in bitcoin and still won't give our daughter her college fund. Sarah definitely does not have any experience with domestic abuse divorces and protection from abuse. I wish she had told me this in the beginning because I wasted around $15000.

  Wondering if anyone else had a change to the parent's wishes that Skelton, Taintor & Abbott never communicated to them or the family. Difficult to deal with when no one returns a call or acknowledges receipt of information. I guess delaying or avoiding decisions is profitable. Being around 150 years is an accomplishment, but in this case it speaks more to limited choices. I see a lot more 1 ratings than 5s and most of the high ratings seemed dated. I wonder how many clients are repeat customers. No need to answer because it was really rhetorical.
