South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association

The South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association (SCBLA) is a not-for-profit corporation in South Carolina. Its primary purpose is to promote bankruptcy legal education for attorneys who practice before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina. The association sponsors ten monthly one-hour continuing legal education seminars, which are available in Columbia and by conference call for members. It also hosts a yearly eight-hour education seminar and a social gathering in December. The SCBLA is approved by the Supreme Court of South Carolina Commission on CLE as a continuing legal education provider for bankruptcy attorneys. Additionally, the association acts as a liaison between the bankruptcy bar, the Bankruptcy Court, and the Office of the United States Trustee.
