State Attorney

The South Dakota State's Attorneys Association (SDSAA) is an organization that represents State's Attorneys and local prosecutors throughout South Dakota. Each county State's Attorney is invited to become a member. The association also extends associate memberships to Deputy State's Attorneys, the Attorney General and Assistant Attorneys General, the United States Attorney, Assistant United States Attorneys, Tribal Prosecutors, and other prosecutors practicing in South Dakota.

A core mission of the SDSAA is to provide South Dakota prosecutors with continued education and training opportunities. Furthermore, the association aims to unify the collective voice of prosecutors on significant issues concerning local, state, and national legal policy. The organization is governed by a structure of Officers and Directors, which includes a President, Vice-President, Executive Director, and a Past President & Chair, along with several circuit directors. The main office for the SDSAA is situated at 140 N Phillips Ave 4th Floor in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The association also compiles and presents a directory of State's Attorneys for numerous counties across the state.
