State Attorney

The South Dakota State's Attorneys Association (SDSAA) is an organization dedicated to representing State's Attorneys and local prosecutors throughout South Dakota. The association extends membership invitations to each county State's Attorney. Additionally, associate membership is available to Deputy State's Attorneys, the Attorney General and Assistant Attorneys General, the United States Attorney, Assistant United States Attorneys, Tribal Prosecutors, and other prosecutors practicing within South Dakota.

A core function of the SDSAA involves providing its members with continued education and training. This initiative aims to equip South Dakota prosecutors with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively perform their duties and stay informed on legal developments. Beyond professional development, the association works to unify the collective voice of prosecutors. It serves as a platform for its members to contribute to and influence local, state, and national legal policy, thereby shaping the legal framework in which they operate. The association maintains an office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
