State Attorney

The South Dakota State's Attorneys Association (SDSAA) functions as a representative body for State's Attorneys and local prosecutors throughout South Dakota. Membership is extended to each county State's Attorney, and associate memberships are available to Deputy State's Attorneys, the Attorney General and Assistant Attorneys General, the United States Attorney, Assistant United States Attorneys, and Tribal Prosecutors or other prosecutors within the state.

The association is dedicated to supporting South Dakota prosecutors by providing continued education and training initiatives. It also aims to unify the collective voice of prosecutors on various aspects of local, state, and national legal policy. The SDSAA is led by a board of officers and directors, which includes a President, Vice-President, Executive Director, and a Past President & Chair. Circuit directors are also part of the leadership structure, representing different judicial circuits within South Dakota. These roles are typically held by serving county State's Attorneys. The association's main office is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
