If you hire this firm, make sure a timeline is constructed, checked and followed, or you may find yourself with a rotating cast of lawyers on retainer while nothing is accomplished. I hired this firm and almost 7 years later, finally had to find another firm after 3 different lawyers in this firm quit working on my case. They never stopped billing, they just stopped trying to complete it. They seemed nice and helpful at the beginning but as each dithered or lost interest, they just stopped returning my calls. Montha and years and thousands of dollars went by this way, case still not finished, prescriptive period on some pertinent actions passed. They not only took my money, but cost me thousands in returns. A big fat zero for this outfit. (I'd much rather praise than complain. I have two other attorneys I respect, still doing business with them).

I hired The Baringer Law Firm to handle a partition case, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Communication was consistently poor, updates were difficult to get, and I later discovered that major required filings had not been completed timely — including a judge's ruling from March 2023 that was not filed until September 2024, only after I had to repeatedly request it and escalate the issue. After raising concerns directly with the owner, I was told oversight would improve, but nothing changed. I eventually learned that the primary attorney on my case, Ben Klein, had been suspended — yet I was never notified by the firm. I was left uninformed, with my case stalled for months, additional fees, stress, and lost time. I have since proceeded with filing a formal complaint with the Louisiana Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this law firm.
