I strongly advise against using this law firm. It has been the most unprofessional legal service I have ever encountered. They continuously demand money yet fail to provide proper communication or results. One staff member, a black lady named Suzy (or Suzan), was particularly unprofessional, raising her voice and behaving as though clients were a burden rather than deserving of respect. I accompanied my partner there, and despite the significant amount of money spent, we received nothing in return—no documents, no progress, and certainly no respect. Stay away, otherwise you will regret.

I sued the Kuba Law Firm for breach of contract and won. Look up my name in the small claims court database. In 2020, I retained The Kuba Law Firm for adjustment of status services. My green card was issued in 2023, but when I went to pick it up, the name was spelled incorrectly, which we later found out was the firm's fault. They spelled my name wrong on the application. The firm told me not to worry. They took possession of my physical green card and instructed me to go get passport photos so they could file the correction (I-90). I did exactly that the same day. I trusted them completely. That trust was met with two years of silence. Phone calls dodged. Promises of "we'll call you back in a week or two" that never came. No updates, no receipts, no proof that anything was ever filed. What I didn't know at the time was that Lance Kuba had just purchased the firm from his father weeks before my visit. When I finally tracked him down in 2025, he disclosed that my entire client file, including my physical green card, had been lost. He blamed it on his dad. Even then, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Lance put his promises in writing, I cooperated, provided additional documentation, and waited patiently. More months passed. More silence. When I asked for updates on the status of the I-90, they didn't answer me. At this point, it's been five years, and I still don't have a green card to show when I apply for jobs or get a Real ID, and I've had it. When I finally demanded a resolution or else I would have no other choice but to take him to court, he told me his firm had done everything as a "courtesy," said, "I didn't take your money, my dad did," and that I could go ahead and sue him because he's smarter than that. Never mind the fact that I was still an active client of the firm, communicating directly with him, relying on his representations, and operating under what was clearly an ongoing attorney-client relationship. So I did. I filed in NYC Small Claims Co
