The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of Illinois serves 46 counties across the state, with its headquarters located in Springfield. Prior to this role, he held several supervisory positions within the office, including Acting United States Attorney, First Assistant U.S. Attorney, Criminal Supervisor for the Springfield Division, Civil Chief, and Criminal Chief. Mr. Gilmore has represented the government in numerous criminal prosecutions since joining the office in 1994.
