The U.S. Marshals Service is the nation's oldest federal law enforcement agency, established in 1789. Its mission is to enforce federal laws and provide support to virtually all elements of the federal justice system through multiple disciplines. Furthermore, judicial security personnel are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for the rule of law through continuous risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments.
