Scott and his team are very knowledgable and helpful. We've done mortgage closings, refinancing, and wills through them. Each was as quick and painless as possible. I'd recommend these guys to anyone.

I am writing this review to recommend Ms. Kristen Kelly, an attorney with Boyles Law Firm. Throughout my two (2) year case, she continually kept me updated about my case and all court proceedings. She provided me with excellent legal advice and guided me through a difficult period in my life. Ms. Kelly spent many hours compiling documentation and negotiating with my husband's legal counsel. I would not be able to financially support myself without being awarded permanent alimony, which she secured through her negations. Her determination to get the best settlement for me never wavered despite being paid a nominal amount. Ms. Kelly is as compassionate as she is "fierce." She never backed down from representing my best interest every step of the way. Ms. Kelly is truly an asset to the Boyles Law Firm and to all other individuals in New Hanover County in need of family law services. Sherri Yelton

I've had several professional and one personal experience with this law firm, and all have been nightmares so far. My personal experience is what has prompted this one star review. I trusted this firm to handle a closing on a home I was trying to purchase, and first of all, six days before closing, when they ran the title search, they failed to disclose a lien on the property to me or my agent. The seller ended up deciding they couldn't pay off the lien, and advised Boyles Law Firm they needed to delay the closing. Their staff was not even courteous enough to call to tel me, instead I received an email approximately one hour before the scheduled closing. The sale ended up falling though, and I lost hundreds of dollars in deposits and moving costs (in addition to what was lost due to the seller's breach of contract) because of this firm's failure to disclose a HUGE lien. I trusted this firm to help me buy my first home, and was sorely disappointed. The staff showed no empathy or concern for their screw up, so now I avoid this office, and their staff every opportunity I get. I wish I had seen the bad Google reviews before selecting this firm. Lesson learned. 😓😓😓

Boyles and Callihan will not wire a home sellers proceeds to their respective bank. They will only issue a paper check for your proceeds which is worthless until the 10 day hold is released from the depositors bank. If your Bank does not have a branch in Wilmington, NC as mine does not, you will have another set of issues dealing with this. ..

They were highly personalable and professional, made sure I understood everything, and stayed in communication with me throughout the whole process.
