  I reached out to Cooley LLP and received contact from their San Francisco office to explore retaining legal counsel for an active IP M&A asset placement. A member of their team initiated contact with me, which I followed up on promptly. Over the following weeks I sent multiple follow-up communications requesting a status update, including a final email on September 1, 2026 with a clear deadline and a specific ask for confirmation of capacity. I never received a response. I want to be clear, I am not looking for perfection. I understand firms are busy and not every inquiry is the right fit. What I needed was a simple acknowledgment: we can help, we can't help, or we need more time. Any of those responses would have been professional and appropriate. What I received instead was silence after an initiated conversation, which left an open loop I had to close myself. As an independent IP creator navigating this process for the first time, communication clarity and basic follow-through matter enormously. Other independent creators reaching out to large firms deserve to know what kind of communication experience to expect. This review is based entirely on documented dates and factual experience. No response was ever received.

  Signed up to attend an event here, however when I got to the event, nobody was there at the reception to host and nobody answered upon calling them multiple times.
