  Our company was represented by Sandra Freeburger in a legal matter. Ms. Freeburger dealt with our case in a most effective and efficient manner. Her advise was of great value in resolving the issue to our benefit. We found her approach to be highly professional, and yet, she was compassionate for our position. None the least of the benefits in working with this firm was the quick response time and easy accessibility that we had with counsel.

  Mr. Sheilds represented us for 20+ years. I recently lost my Love of 29 1/2 years. Mr. Sheilds words to me this week (day #16 of passing) "If you're going to continue to be emotionally attached to the case then I'm going to step back". Seriously? I feel like he wants the easy cases (push a pen & get paid). I did inform him he is not the pit bull I need for the case !!! This particular rating doesn't even deserve the one star...only way it would let me post!!!

  I waited on Mr. Shields for a week and was offered no help, not even advice regarding any of the legal concerns I had. Mr. Shields claimed he was way to busy working to take my case and because if this he did not take time to hear my legal concerns. He did recommend to me two other attorneys in his area. Overall, I would not recommend waiting for Mr. Shields. You will have better luck attending a different firm than attempting to interrupt his busy schedule. Especially if you have a complicated case involving multiple angles. Mr. Shields only wants classic black and white cases he explained (which I presumed was simply to roll in $). He also voiced something about what is orthodoxy, so if you are a statesman and strictly a statesman, not the religious type, you may want to steer clear of this guy as well.

  This firm is worthless, do not hire. I hired Dane Shields to handle estate matters after my father passed away. I was never given the date of the first court date, I had to call the clerk to get it myself because they don't return phone calls. He showed up 2 hours late for court and proceeds to file the wrong paperwork and the judge schedules a follow up court date. I tried numerous times to contact Mr Shields' office to try to get it corrected with no answer to any message I left. I had to wait until the next court date to ask him about correcting it, where he assured me it would be done. After a few weeks of hearing nothing, I emailed the secretary, to which she replied that we were waiting for the judge to sign something. Another couple weeks go by and I contact the court clerk who stated that there was nothing at the court waiting on signature. It's been 4 months of wasting my time and stealing my money, because now I have to start all over with a different lawyer who knows what they are doing.

  My boyfriend paid Mr Shields a good amount of money after Mr Shields agreed to take on his cases. Mr Shields has had zero contacted with my boyfriend ever since and has not showed up for one court date after I called myself and was assured the dates were on his calendar. So now my boyfriend has had to defend himself in court and sentenced without any assistance from the lawyer that he paid. So if you like just handing over money because you have nothing else to do then Mr Shields is your man but if you need actual legal assistance he is a total waste of time and money.

  Mr Shields is completely unprofessional and I would not recommend his services to anyone. This is based on his inconsistency. Inconsistency is not what a client wants from a defense attorney. I was a fully paid client of Mr Shields for 2 different issues. He did and a good job. I needed him for a 3rd issue (early termination of Probation request hearing) and he failed me in everyway. would not return my phone calls and I actually saw him at the courthouse at the same time as my hearing and I asked him for 1 second of his time and he told me no. Not exactly the way I was expecting to be treated since I always paid my accounts in full. Have to wonder about an attorney that acts like former clients don't exist. I wouldn't have bothered writing this review, except the fact he ghosted me. A simple return call with just about any excuse about being too busy or whatever would have been infinitely more professional
