It was very reassuring to hear him say "I will be right there with you", "I will take care of this", and "Don't worry about anything until I get back in touch with you for the next steps". He was very professional and caring for our family as we dealt with the loss of a loved one and had to go through the process of the Will/Probate/Guardianship/Custodialship.

  Dont let the name fool you, while I share a last name with them we are not related (probably a few generations and branches back). We hired Goolsby Law Firm to represent us for a family law matter based on knowledge of their personal beliefs and from recommendations of friends. Richard has been honest, fair and attentive throughout this difficult and sometimes trying time. We knew he would pray for our family, our beautiful granddaughter and all others involved. In the end we received a positive outcome and sleep especially well knowing we kept things honest and fair. Richard was open in communications and quickly responded to questions and needs.   My lawyer was Blake Goolsby. Everything was beautiful when we started out, but after the first initial divorce hearing- it was terrible. There were updates that directly impacted my case regarding my safety, the judge knowing the other party involved, and other things- that were being completely ignored. Emails and phone calls went unanswered for MONTHS, and suddenly after an emergency motion from a third party was filed, he knew my name and number. I even called the office a few times and spoke with his father, who took a message for me, because Blake was with another client or not in office. At one point I called everyday for a week- not one call back. I didn't live in Augusta at the time, but the case was centered in Augusta, so I didn't have the leisure to go to the office in person. Roughly $3,000 is what was paid to him. The lack of communication and accountability was unacceptable and it negatively affected the outcome of my case. Now there's a new case that piggybacked off of the case he didn't properly represent me in. We're now having to backtrack through that case to properly come into this new case with better representation.

  I had an excellent experience working with Goolsby Law Firm. From the beginning, the team was professional and responsive to the many questions I had. They answered my questions clearly and kept me updated on the process which made sensitive topics like these much easier to handle. I'm one to read the fine print, and they were willing to explain every minute detail. While this was probably a tedious process for them, they were happy to do so. Being that it's a family owned business, there were many people that helped me through this process. I couldn't thank them enough. Beyond that, they are truly just good people which is hard to find. I highly recommend for their level of professionalism and attention to detail.
