So I'm calling attorneys about doing a trust and trying to decide on one that will do the best job for me. The receptionist at this firm hung up on me. I could hear him give a huge sigh over the phone. Yes, I'm old and have questions but it's a complicated and expensive process so... Guess I'm not doing business with Stephen Potts!!!

Friendly, clear communication, transparent billing, understands client's specific objectives, provides expert legal guidance, maintains a trust-based relationship through responsiveness and timely updates. I strongly recommend this firm. M. Liggett U.S. Navy (RET)

I'm writing this review to share a very disappointing experience involving attorney Carolyn Baird at Jones Law Firm, in the hopes it will help others avoid the same situation. A close friend of mine hired Mrs. Baird to handle her will and estate planning. While her estate was sizable, there is absolutely no justification for the outrageous $22,000 fee she was charged for what should have been a routine process. It's clear that Mrs. Baird took advantage of the size of the estate rather than charging a fair and reasonable rate. Estate planning requires integrity, transparency, and professionalism—none of which were demonstrated here. I'm posting this review to warn others: ask questions, request detailed estimates, and get a second opinion before trusting this firm with something so important. I sincerely hope this helps prevent someone else from going through the same experience—and that no one else becomes a victim like my friend was.

An awesome law firm with your interests in mind. They are very up front and thorough. We have used them on several occasions.

Hired for my mother's probate back in September. They told us it would be the one of the easiest they do. Simple, already processed through filing & paperwork back. She doesn't owe anything to anyone, house & car paid for, me & my brother are the only beneficiaries & we are happy to do the 50/50 split no arguments. They have not called me but one time & that time was a return call from the week previous that was supposed to be returned days before. The excuse was the holidays. Any time I have called their answer is nothing new to report they will contact me & if I don't hear from them in 2 weeks to call back. I understand probate is not a short process, it takes time to do everything but the level of professionalism that you would expect from a established law firm, in my opinion, has not been met. Still waiting to hear back from them, last contact was end of November or first of December. I don't have any experience with any of this type of thing so maybe this is normal but if it is I understand why everyone dreads it & it takes so long. I just feel like because it was such an easy case with not much to handle we have just gotten continuously pushed to the bottom of the pile because no extra billable hours are to be had. In the meantime I will just have to continue in limbo paying house & car insurance until things can be sold &/or put into our names.
