I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Yuliya Dolich New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) Coordinating Senior Paralegal, Immigrant Protection Unit, DOJ Accredited Representative Ukrainian Immigrant Assistance Project , who handled my green card case with exceptional professionalism and dedication. From the very beginning, she demonstrated a remarkable level of competence, responsibility, and attention to detail. Every document, every step, every deadline was managed with precision and care. Throughout the entire process, Yuliya was consistently patient, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She explained each stage clearly, guided me through complex requirements, and always made sure I felt informed and confident. Her communication was prompt and thorough, and I always felt that my case was in reliable hands. What impressed me most was her genuine commitment to helping me achieve the best possible outcome. She approached my case not just as a routine task, but with real empathy and understanding. Thanks to her professionalism and hard work, the entire process went smoothly and successfully. I am truly grateful for everything she has done!

I came to see a lawyer today, was my first time, as soon as I crossed the door, I approached to the desk, nicely I say Hello, Hiw are you ?, the guy behind the desk, he has pony tail and never responded my regards, just look at me and said, give me the card and have a sit. Was so cold and he suppose is the firm first impression, was so disappointed, how this kind of people are working on this kind of companies. While I was waiting, he got a phone call, for what I heard someone was asking for information, he was so rude and no nice at all. So I understood, is not just with me, he is like that with everyone. Very sad and a big NO!!

I approached NYLAG few years ago, desperately seeking help with my issue. However, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. From the very beginning, communication with the firm was a significant challenge. When I initially called, the assistant handling my case was not only impatient but also displayed a lack of empathy. The series of questions she asked took hours to answer, and her constant sighs during the process added to the already stressful situation. After numerous attempts to follow up, I was finally assigned a lawyer for my case. Unfortunately, the experience only went downhill from there. When I submitted the requested documents, the lawyer's response was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful. He yelled at me and questioning the quality of the photos, without offering constructive feedback. Despite retaking the photos as requested, there were no follow-ups or communication. I made several attempts to contact the lawyer, but my calls went unanswered. Finally, when he did call, my hopes were shattered as he informed me that he was leaving the firm, leaving my case unresolved. The firm assured me they would assign a new lawyer, but that promise was never fulfilled. To this day, I have given up on NYLAG. Their lack of compassion, empathy, and communication has left me in a state of frustration and despair. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for legal assistance.

I had a very disappointing experience with New York Legal Assistance Group regarding my mother's immigration case. After more than 2 years, no application was filed despite having all required documents prepared. Communication was consistently unclear and unhelpful. I worked directly with Mahlet and escalated my concerns to her supervisor, Simone Meyer, but the level of professionalism and support did not improve. There was also a lack of proper guidance regarding the sponsorship process, and potential sponsors were given discouraging or confusing information, which contributed to significant delays. After waiting for years, I was left feeling like I should find another attorney rather than being supported in completing the case. This is extremely concerning for such an important matter. As someone who has seen organizations like this advocate for public funding to support immigrant communities, I expected a higher level of accountability, professionalism, and client support. My experience did not reflect that standard. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider their options if they need timely and reliable legal assistance.

Julie Anne Howe, Esq., Supervising Attorney of the Consumer Protection Unit, made me feel more protected than I ever thought possible. Life happens, and sometimes we face challenges that are completely out of our control. Walking into a courtroom can be overwhelming, but she gave me a sense of peace—as if God had truly sent me a protector. Because of her, I was able to walk in with faith and confidence instead of fear. She took the time to carefully analyze my situation and guided me in the right direction with patience, compassion, and expertise. Her presence alone brought reassurance during a very difficult time. I am deeply grateful for her dedication and the genuine care she showed me throughout the process. She turned what felt like a frightening experience into one where I felt supported, empowered, and heard. God Bless🙏

It feels like you have found an incredible team in Julie Anne Howe, Esq., Conor and Brendan. When you're dealing with legal matters, having advocates who don't just know the law, but who also bring genuine empathy, care, and a sense of "oxygen" to the room is invaluable. This kind of reassuring presence can completely change the weight of a stressful situation. Thank you for the Legal and Financial counseling. God Bless you with the bright illuminating light you give to all in your path. 🙏

The support and guidance I received from NYLAG has been outstanding. I have been working with Izzy and Dylan in particular, both of whom have been incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!
