  I live in Texas, and was visiting Pigeon Forge on vacation in December 2025. As I was leaving town to drive home, I was pulled over and got a ticket. It was for an offence that would be a minor traffic ticket in TX, but as I found out it is a Class B Misdemeanor in TN! When I called the courthouse, I was told that I was required to appear in person at the court to stand for the charge. The only other option offered was that I could sign a waiver of all my rights in the case and pay a hefty fine. They said it was a big deal and maybe I should get counsel first. I called all the lawyers local to the area in TN, and had trouble getting someone to respond as it was close to Christmas. But Mr Shults did call me back, and offered to appear for me and ask the judge if that was OK with me being out of state. I hired him, and when the court day arrived, he was able to represent me in my absence, and got the charge dismissed! What a lifesaver! If this happens to you, don't just pay the fines, contact Mr Shults and see what your other options are, it pad off for me. Highly recommended!
