IF YOUR READING THIS AND ARE A TENANT : Im sorry for what you are going through. Ill give my honest review (while batteling depression and suicide)but wanted to say HOLD ON. The most remarkable thing about this is that there are even 3 stars. There is no help here. These people work for the government to guide you to drop all cases and to never try and defend yourself even when your right. This is the government's way of trying to look like they're doing something. I don't have enough fingers to count the government agencies that played that role. Dont even bother calling. And BTW notice how even though they "close at 12pm" these people shut the phones off at 11:50 sometimes etc. Truely lazy.

Statewide Legal Services is an incredible non-profit organization in Connecticut that truly goes above and beyond to support the community. The staff is professional, friendly, welcoming, and deeply compassionate. They offer free legal advice and, if you qualify due to age, low income, or disability, they can even represent you in legal matters. Their dedication to protecting the rights of the elderly, disabled, and those in need is both inspiring and impactful. If you're looking to donate to a cause that makes a real difference, this is the one. Supporting this organization means standing up for justice and dignity for the most vulnerable in our society.

I would not recommend Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut. We were mocked, spoken down to, and treated with clear disrespect by the legal representative we spoke with. The interaction felt extremely unprofessional and dismissive, and there appeared to be obvious gender bias throughout the conversation. People seeking legal help are often already under stress and deserve to be treated with professionalism and fairness, regardless of gender. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at all. Very disappointing experience from an organization supported in part by public funding.

Very frustrating and painful experience. They tell you to argue different points in court. In my several interactions with them they expect you to know what to do but it's insanely difficult when you are not a legal expert. They offer no legal representation and their help is of no real help at all. All I got is this rude attorney that didn't let me speak and was condescending and patronizing. She would ask me questions she never let me answer before talking over me. We are ushered to the slaughter house like sheep.
