I met Doug and Cindy Jones through a seminar they held in Jonesboro, AR.. I went not knowing exactly what to expect but I found many people there had already connected with them and was there to learn more and ask questions... The seminar was extremely informative and at the end they were willing to meet with anybody needing to ask questions about their own situations... After speaking with them I set up an appt. for them to handle my Dad's assets and estate.. They immediately put me at ease in getting it all lined out and I left assured they had my best interest at heart.. As the years went by they stayed in touch with me and at the end all was taken care of exactly as needed.. I highly recommend their law firm to anybody needing to be guided in the right direction.. They are not only great Christian people but experts in elder law...

I highly recommend this law practice. Douglas Jones and all of his staff have been very professional and helpful in processing all the necessary paperwork for the Medicaid application necessary for my wife to obtain placement in a local nursing home with memory care.

For the past eight months, I have unexpectedly had to pay for nursing home care for my mother. I am trying to apply for Medicaid to help with the cost of her care, but she owns a small asset that will prevent her from being approved. I reached out to this firm after searching online for elder care attorneys in my area. They seemed folksy and down to earth on their YouTube channel. On their website, you can schedule a free ten-minute consultation by phone. I did that. The time for the call came and went; there was no call. I reached out via email, but got no response. I called the office, and a gentleman answered the phone. I explained that I had scheduled a call but no one had called me. He said, "Oh, was that Monday?" No apology. He said he was not an attorney but could help me. I explained my situation and was abruptly told that I should have contacted them before we had gone through her money paying for her care. He said they really couldn't help me and her assets weren't worth much of anything. I asked a couple of questions that were met with hurried answers. It was obvious he was ready to be off the phone and done with me. I have never been through this situation before, so I certainly didn't make all the right decisions. Nonetheless, I am trying to do the best I can at this point for my mother, and it is incredibly stressful. There was not a bit of kindness or compassion expressed during that phone conversation. I understand there are limited options at this point, but there was not even any basic pleasantry that you would expect from a business call. I work in healthcare and interact with sick and hurting people every day. I would never dream of saying, "Well, you shouldn't have made all those bad lifestyle choices, and you wouldn't have stage 4 cancer now." Basic kindness is a powerful thing. The attorneys at this firm may be amazing, but I can't speak to that. I can say, however, that their intake person does them a great disservice. **Edit** Since the ori

Doug and Cindy Jones and Freddie were instrumental in helping my Mom obtain community services through Medicaid. Without their knowledge and assistance, we would not have been able to access Medicaid services and keep my Mom home. I would highly recommend you securing their services BEFORE applying for Medicaid or for getting any affairs in order!

When my husband and I finally made the decision to "get our affairs in order" we reached out to Doug and Cindy for guidance. They held our hands during the process as we sorted out what we wanted and how we wanted it to happen. They prepared the documents that assured us our plans would be implemented. I would (and have) highly recommend this team and their staff for any assistance in estate planning. We can now get a good nights sleep knowing our "affairs" are finally in order.

I appreciate their professionalism. They explained why the process for getting my father approved for Medicaid would take a bit of research and time by me, but that having ALL his paperwork in order would ultimately shine in our favor. I spoke with Doug and Matthew quite often and commend them for their frank and honest assessments of our casefile.

My father has advanced dementia. He needed to become qualified for Medicaid. My family knew that process would be more than we could handle on our own. A family friend recommended Douglas R. Jones (Doug) and Cynthia Orlicek Jones (Cindy) with Elder Care Attorneys of Arkansas and their professional team Matthew, Sandy, Ashley, and David. My family could not have navigated this complicated government process without their whole-hearted dedication, compassion, and rock-solid knowledge base. Each team member is incredibly thorough and are always quick to answer any question (via phone, text or email), even after hours. This life change is not something one wishes to go through. However, if you do, there should be no hesitation to contact Doud and Cindy Jones with Elder Care Attorneys. It will be the best thing you do if needed. I am 110% sure that you will receive the same care and support.

Doug and Cynthia assisted my family with my grandmother's estate planning and eventual Medicaid application many years ago, so it was natural for me to seek their assistance when my mother's health began to fail. They were extremely kind and helpful, and Matthew Burt in particular was wonderful to work with. His professionalism, courtesy, and patience with me and the staff at DHS was remarkable, and I would highly recommend the firm.
