The office of Shannon Pawley was instrumental in assisting my family to safeguard my mom's assets and to guide us in her elderly years. Two years ago they helped me make difficult but necessary decisions that made my mother's passing much less stressful. All of the main major decisions were handled and during her death, I did not have to focus on anything else but her. It made this sad time easier and I appreciate their knowledge and advisement.

I was actively involved in the estate planning process for my father, who was the named client in our engagement with The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm. Although he was the formal client, I paid for the services and participated in all meetings, decisions, and document reviews to help protect our family's interests. We hired the firm to assist with creating a revocable trust and related documents. Unfortunately, our experience raised serious concerns about the quality of legal guidance and overall client service. From the outset, we hoped to be treated as a united family—a father and son with a long-standing relationship and shared goals. Instead, we felt early assumptions were made about our intentions, rather than efforts to understand our dynamic. Though disappointed, we gave the firm the benefit of the doubt and proceeded. Those initial dynamics seemed to influence the engagement throughout. We believe some advice was shaped more by assumption than by our input. We later discovered provisions—such as language allowing the firm to appoint a Trust Protector—had been included without our knowledge or consent. This was not explained in advance and was only found through our own review. When we asked to allow beneficiaries to vote on this role, we were told it wasn't permitted. A second attorney later confirmed it was perfectly legal and commonly used when requested. We also encountered inconsistent billing. We were quoted a certain price but later asked to pay additional fees. After raising concerns, the charges were removed. While we appreciated the correction, it made us wonder how closely other clients are reviewing their billing. In several areas, we felt the firm's advice didn't reflect my father's actual wishes. Rather than tailoring the trust to his stated goals, we were steered toward provisions that seemed based on firm templates or internal preferences. The result was a lack of transparency and flexibility. The tone of communication often felt

I worked with Robin for several years to settle my father's small estate . She was patient, kind, diligent and focused on the details of settling the estate. There were a few complications that were Not the fault of this firm. Robin addresses each one until completed. I can not say enough about the professionalism and great communication and support I received . I highly recommend this firm !

It has been such a pleasure to work with Shannon and her assistant, Sabrina, (and the entire office staff) the past several years, since my elderly father moved into our home and my mother into a memory care facility in the Atlanta area. With my mother's passing in 2014 and just recently my father's passing in 2026, I can't imagine getting through all the legal details required by the state of Georgia without them. Their expertise in elder law and estate planning for the state of Georgia and their genuine care and concern for our family meant so much to us. They also were dedicated and tireless in their efforts to work through all the VA requirements for my father, (in his 90's and a WWII Veteran) to help him receive his VA benefits. They also are most fair and compatible with their pricing scale in keeping with similar Atlanta firms of such high quality. My brother and I were very pleased with their yearly Maintenance Fee Plan that is offered to their clients, with quarterly phone calls to check on our father and to discuss any questions we had. We always felt connected and they understood my father's needs through his 90s until his passing at 99. A five star law firm for sure and our family has been Blessed with their presence in our lives.
