Ramona D. Elliott serves as the Acting Director of the Justice Department's U.S. Trustee Program, a role she assumed on August 29, 2025. With 31 years of federal service, much of it with the USTP, Ms. Elliott previously held the position of Deputy Director and General Counsel for the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees since 2011. In her capacity as chief legal officer, she has been responsible for developing national legal policies in consumer and business bankruptcy cases and formulating litigation strategies.
