I strongly suggest finding a different attorney. My experience with William Gerwig III left me extremely dissatisfied with the representation I received in my workers' compensation cases. I had two separate workers' compensation claims. One involved my ankle, which ultimately required surgery. The other involved my neck and back. My neck and back injuries occurred after I was T-boned while driving a company truck and later suffered a fall on a company job site. What frustrates me most is that my neck and back were recognized as compensable conditions, yet I was still being told that significant problems and treatment involving my back were not covered. I had a pre-existing history of scoliosis, and I felt that too much emphasis was placed on that rather than properly addressing what happened to me at work and the condition I was left in afterward. My back problems eventually became serious enough that I underwent back surgery, and my own health insurance ended up paying for it. I firmly believe that treatment should have been pursued and covered through my workers' compensation claim. I hired an attorney because I expected someone to fight for me, explain why treatment was being denied, challenge those decisions when appropriate, and make sure I received every benefit I was legally entitled to. I do not believe William Gerwig III provided that level of representation. I also underwent ankle surgery under my separate ankle claim. Between the ankle injury, the neck and back injuries, the vehicle accident, the workplace fall, and ultimately needing back surgery, these were serious matters that had a significant impact on my life. What makes the situation especially difficult for me to understand is being told that my neck and back were compensable conditions while treatment for my back was still not handled through workers' compensation and my personal insurance ultimately paid for my surgery. I expected my attorney to aggressively address that issue, and I do not
