Michael L. Snyder

Michael L. Snyder is a litigation attorney who became a partner at Davenport Evans in 2022, having joined the firm in 2016. His practice is concentrated in commercial and complex litigation, workers' compensation, and insurance litigation. He also handles employment litigation, labor and employment matters, and professional liability defense.

Mr. Snyder earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2014, graduating first in his class. During his legal education, he served as editor-in-chief of the South Dakota Law Review and as a research assistant to Professor Christine Hutton. Following graduation, he completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Karen E. Schreier of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota.

His professional experience includes roles as an Associate from 2016 to 2021 before his promotion to Partner. Mr. Snyder is admitted to practice in South Dakota and the United States District Court, District of South Dakota. He has been recognized for his work, including selection to the Great Plains Rising Stars from 2020-2024 in the area of Business Litigation by Great Plains Super Lawyers.
