I do not typically leave negative reviews, but I believe communication is one of the most important qualities in a law firm. On Saturday, June 20, I emailed the firms Resident Director, Alexander Clark, requesting a consultation regarding a business matter. After not receiving a response, I followed up with phone calls on Tuesday, June 23 and again on Thursday, June 25. On both occasions, I spoke with the receptionist who advised me she would make sure Mr. Clark received my message, and at the very least, make sure the correct party returned my phone call. Unfortunately, I never received a return call, email, or even an acknowledgment that my inquiry had been received. I completely understand that not every matter is the right fit, and that attorneys have demanding schedules. However, I believe that every perspective client deserves the courtesy of a simple response, even if it's just to say the firm is unable to take on their case. I think we could all agree that when choosing legal counsel, communication and responsiveness are not optional…they are fundamental. Unfortunately, my experience left me with little confidence that my matter would receive the level of attention it deserves.
