About Oregon Law Center
The Oregon Law Center (OLC) offers free legal assistance to low-income individuals and communities across Oregon. The organization focuses on matters related to housing, livelihoods, medical care, and physical safety, including domestic violence. OLC's mission is to achieve justice for these communities by providing civil legal services and working to dismantle systemic racism and white supremacy.
The center provides information, advice, brief service, and representation in several key areas. These include administrative law, covering health care, unemployment insurance, public benefits, and Social Security, as well as employment law, addressing wage and discrimination claims. Family law services prioritize matters involving domestic violence. OLC also assists farmworkers with issues such as wage claims, working conditions, housing, and health care, and offers an Indigenous Project for farmworkers speaking various indigenous languages. Housing law services encompass Fair Housing, subsidized housing, landlord-tenant disputes, and homelessness-related issues. Additionally, the center handles civil rights matters, including race discrimination and immigrants' rights. OLC is governed by a board of directors, with members appointed by bar associations and nominated by community organizations. The organization operates through regional offices and a state support unit that provides training and co-counseling for staff attorneys.

After numerous attempts of receiving guidance I've given up. Oregon Law Center NEVER has enough staff to assist a woman in need.

Why bother...the doors are locked and nobody is there. There were no signs for hours of operation even. When we finally found someone there they said we should get an attorney. DUH

Called them multiple times needing to set up an appointment for a consultation and all times I was told to call back. So I waited till after hours to call and leave a message and I never heard back from them. I will never go to them for anything after this experience.
